In most myths, such as those of Europe, dragons are portrayed as the very incarnation of evil and destruction. Dragons are pictured as fire-spitting beasts with wings and a scaled body, that strike fear and anguish to the hearts of the people. Many famous art pieces depict dragons to be the bane of humanity.
There is a legend in the middle ages where there once was a dragon who who was very lethal. One blow of his could kill an ox, and through his nostrils brought smoke and flames that killed anyone who breathed it. Every year, a girl was offered to it to prevent it from rushing into the city and destroying all the people.One day, Prince Sabra had to be sacrificed She was saved by the valiant St. George, youngest and bravest of the seven champions of Christendom.With his magic sword, he wounded the monster so badly that the princess was able to put her sash on its head and lead it to the marketplace. There St. George slew it with one blow.
